Symptoms
of internal hemorrhoids include the stool appearing with a bright red
blood covering. The toilet paper or the toilet bowl also may have the
blood color. The internal hemorrhoids can protrude to the outside of the
body through the anus.
When the hemorrhoids are out they cause a greater level of pain and irritation.
This condition is known as protruding hemorrhoid. A painful swelling or
hard lumps around the anus resulting due to the formation of a blood clot
are symptoms of external hemorrhoids. This condition is known as thrombosed
external hemorrhoid.
Surgical procedures are required only for the serious cases of hemorrhoids. Otherwise some of the routine practices itself is more than enough in reducing the symptoms of hemorrhoids.
Some of the steps that you can take to prevent the symptoms to getting
worse include having bath in a warm tub for about 10 minutes, several
times a day and applying a hemorrhoidal cream to the affected area for
a limited time. Constipation is one of the major factor causing hemorrhoids.
Adding more vegetables, fruits, and whole grains to your diet along with
higher fluid content, result in softer and bulkier stools. This ensures
easy emptying of bowels with lesser pressure on hemorrhoids caused by
straining.
